    Key highlights:

    • Directing the Video Film for the Closing Ceremony of the 2022 Chess Olympiad, in Chennai, India, attended by the Indian Prime-Minister Narendra Modi. It was broadcasted nationally, with an estimated TV audience of over 200 million people.

    • Producing Consultant & Director of the 2018 Chess World Championship, in London, UK. In charge of directing the highlights, broadcast & backstage material shared with international networks Eurosport, BBC, NBC, etc., and with shooting in London iconic locations such as the British Museum, Traffalgar Square, Victoria & Albert Museum, National Gallery, Globe Theatre, Hyde Park.
      The broadcasts included interviews with the Oscar Nominated, Woody Harrelson & Bennet Miller, the CEO & co-founder of Google AI Deep Mind, Demis Hassabis, and the co-founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales.

Events & Organising:

  • Founder & Chairman of the International Film Festival, Film Olympiad. It is the Olympiad for Filmmakers, awarding the Film Olympiad medals. It is also the first and only film festival in the world to publish the ratings of all entries, championing transparency while offering valuable feedback and networking opportunities to every filmmaker. To date, the it has featured over 800 entries from 84 countries, including Oscar nominated films.

  • Creator and coordinating organizer of the online chess project “Checkmate Coronavirus” by the World Chess Federation. This project was a marathon with a social extend during the Covid-19 lockdown, running for 720 hours and 30 days in a row, with 2.762 chess tournaments and 517.661 participations. It is to date the most massive sports event in terms of participation, organised by an International Federation, in the history of sports.

  • Assistant Artistic Director & in charge of various sections (such as the theatre section & video producing) in two major Athens festivals with hundreds of thousands audience over the respective years: Petit Paris D' Athene (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 & 2021), Chessnale (2012, 2014). 

  • Volunteer for the Toronto International Film Festival (2017) and Journalist Correspondent.
